VirSAG, an independent Third-Party Administrator (TPA), founded by Shenneil Edwards and Raymond Walker, was incorporated under the Companies Act 2004 on July 16, 2019 as a private company to provide a variety of administrative services. These services include claims administration and adjudication, coordination of benefits, medical case management, air evacuation coordination, utilization review, analysis and reporting, risk management and membership administration on behalf of local and multinational insurance companies and plan sponsors (self-funded insurance), for health & travel insurance programmes, critical illness & disability income replacement plans, as well as managing self-funded organizations’ employee benefits programmes. The company, being the first to launch such services in Jamaica, prides itself on being a forward thinking, strategically innovative company with a mindset to revolutionize the management of healthcare services and contain cost for consumers, especially as labour cost in Jamaica is a third of the cost for similar services in the USA.
