But, our current healthcare system has this backwards. Instead, those suffering in pain wait to see their primary physician and only 25% go on to finally see a MSD specialist.
This is where we want to transform healthcare….The musculoskeletal specialist must be the first line of defense in treating musculoskeletal problems. We have even gone a step further, insisting that all of our clinicians have received certification or diploma in Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment (MDT).
Research has shown that this treatment approach has the best outcomes in the shortest amount of time and the mechanical assessment is more accurate than an MRI in detecting symptomatic discs.
