Vision Composites Inc.

Vision Composites Inc. (VCI) is a Canadian company incorporated and registered in British Columbia. VCI was founded in 2017 by two UBC Adjunct Professors in the Mechanical and Materials Engineering Department. In addition to their academic expertise, both officers have more than 10 years of industrial experience. A former Industry Technology Advisor (ITA) with over 18 years of experience at the National Research Council of Canada (NRC) has joined the team as the Business Development Director (North America), overseeing VCI's business activities. VCI is primarily focused on developing a new generation of fibrous materials, with a particular emphasis on transparent materials. However, thanks to the expertise of the two co-founders, VCI has also conducted several concurrent industrial R&D projects related to structural and mechanical simulations, manufacturing processes, and quality control. In 2021, a former Business Development VP of the Composite Innovation Center (CIC) and an emeritus professor at UBC, with over 30 years of experience in automation, joined the upper management team as VCI prepares to scale up one of its products in 2022.
