viskovic.viskovic architects is a partnership (in idea and realization) in the material world of creating space between Zrinka and Vatroslav, the siblings. And not just the space, because architecture is everything. From the creation of the processes, the ideas of a chair, glasses, rituals, habits, skyscrapers, wineries, kitchens, clothes… Every creation is based on the same principles, only the tools are different. One of the greatest architects of all time (Mies van der Rohe) claimed it was harder to design a good chair than a skyscraper (and he made both). It is in that sentence that all the wisdom and significance of a design lies. Our work is based on the belief that space, and everything around us, plays a key role in creating our thoughts, attitudes, behaviors, and ultimately, life. Good architecture is capable of directing a person, relaxing, asking questions, and finally, re-educating. Architecture of an apartment, school, college, workplace, urbanism (=architecture) of the neighborhood, etc. strongly influences the formation of personality. Architects, therefore, play a key role in the health of society, the state of consciousness. That role brings great honor, but also great responsibility. Founded in Split, Croatia.
