VjobReady

VjobReady is a virtual reality module used for Career Exploration and Skills Training. Participants put on a VR head set and use handset to navigate through and complete tasks in a virtual environment. In the VR module participants will learn first hand job skills and expectations in a safe and comfortable environment. This first module, Career Café, includes 4 training stations relevant to the food service sector (future modules are planned for other in-demand and essential worker occupations). The environment is designed to replicate a typical fast food restaurant environment like Subway, Quesada or Tim Hortons. Students will: Enter orders and take payments in the POS system (Point of Sale, cash register), learn the correct procedure for hand washing, make sandwiches, prepare hot/cold beverages and assemble the food orders including any “sides” that are purchased.
