VLOG, the German industry Association Food without Genetic Engineering (Verband Lebensmittel ohne Gentechnik), represents food manufacturers and retailers as well as sectors upstream and downstream to food production.
Our Association was founded in 2010. It promotes food manufacture without GMOs and also engages in consumer education. It awards licences for use of two seals. One is the standardized seal “Ohne GenTechnik” (≈ Non-GMO) to be used on retail packaging of food products that meet its standard. The second one is named “VLOG geprüft” (≈ VLOG-verified) and reserved for animal feed in B2B relations.
More than 14,000 food products are currently labelled with the “Ohne GenTechnik” seal.
Our Association represents more than 700 members and licensees that are primarily from Germany and stand for combined annual sales of seal-bearing food products of about 13 billion euros in 2020.
