VO VOXI Solar Taxi is a city taxi powered by 100% renewable energy, ordered by smartphone for single occupancy passengers (80% of taxi rides in cities), demanding zero-emission, convenient, swift, weather protected, cargo carrying city transport.
Having an impressive range of 100-150 miles, lightweight, 75kg VO VOXI is capable of displacing all-day-use, fossil-fuel, 2 tonne service vehicles, including taxis and city delivery vehicles and requires no new charge point infrastructure as its 8kg, briefcase sized, removable battery can be recharged from any standard socket.
Put into context: A Tesla battery is 544kg, you can get 68 VO VOXI batteries for every Tesla battery and 87 VO VOXI batteries for every Audi eTron battery. An 8kg battery significantly reduces CO2 emissions from battery manufacturing.
The VO VOXI taxi app will offer guaranteed zero-emission taxi rides; VO VOXI for single occupancy, EV black cab or other pure EV minicab for multiple occupancy. All drivers will change their home tariff to 100% renewable suppliers, increasing demand for renewable energy production.
Together with being powered by 100% renewable energy, VO VOXI is 95% UK manufactured which reduces UK imported CO2 emissions, currently the UK is the biggest importer of CO2 emissions per capita on the planet and third for total imported CO2 emissions. We aim to change that.
VO VOXI can turn any degree on the spot and efficient, clever use of space means it can carry 2 people comfortably with 1 large suitcase AND 2 x cabin suitcases with more leg and head room than a car giving a comfortable, spacious, premium feel - all in the footprint of one cyclist! (1.7m x 0.95m) reducing congestion.
Entry market VO VOXI will be in EPAC class meaning it can legally travel in cycle lanes with a capped speed of 15.5mph, effectively faster than a car’s average speed of 11.3mph through cities. Later, larger lightweight road only 2 and 4 passenger autonomous EVs with doors will be released.
