Around 50 million people in the world are affected by epilepsy, while over 500,000 people suffer from epilepsy in the UK. Only 52% of this significant number of people diagnosed with the disorder are seizure-free. It is estimated that 70 per cent could be seizure free with the right treatment.
With 87 newly diagnosed with the neurological disorder every day, our mission is to spread awareness and be an advocate for those without a voice, or those who are afraid to speak out about their experience with the disorder. Through multiple projects and fundraising events we're continuing to raise awareness and funds to support vital research for a cure.
We are helping to educate our societies about seizure recognition, seizure first aid and increase understanding about epilepsy in general. We hope you will support us in our journey.
