About Volirium

Flytec, founded in 1982, initated the market for high-precision altimeters and variometers for hang-glider pilots. Later balloon pilots and especially paraglider pilots increased the customer base significantly. Throughout the 1990s, Flytec was the uncontested dominator in this global niche market. The early 2000s saw the addition of GPS to the devices, which brought another big step in functionality. In 2017, the company was renamed Volirium.
