Volition is an accessible app that empowers the autonomy, self-determination and data sovereignty of disabled people. We believe that everyone has the right to make their own decisions, and that everyone has the right to access support to make those decisions. We believe that support for decision making should be safe, simple, and effective. Which is why we founded Volition. We’re a social enterprise in Aotearoa New Zealand, and we are on a mission to empower every disabled person as a decision maker in their own life. We've built an app that helps Decision Makers to express what they like and what they don't like, and to choose what information they share and who they share it with. Together Decision Makers and their chosen Supporters can then collaborate with confidence. Volition is a personal database-in-your-pocket. Using Volition eliminates endless repetition, giving Decision Makers dignity to say it or show it once. It gives parents and supporters peace of mind as they capture and document their valuable insights, and it informs providers with valuable client generated information and feedback in real time.
