Funded as Rauter- Moelzer- OEG in 2000, the company evolved from an animation and media production company to a provider of specialized computer graphics solutions with a focus on the development of volume rendering software. The flagship product VoluMedic, an add on for the Emmy award winning visual effects software LightWave3D by NewTek, is a leading software for the import, manipulation, analysis and rendering of three dimensional volume data from computed tomography, magnetic resonance tomography and other modalities. VoluMedic is used in material science, earth sciences, biology, medicine and even visual effects. It has been a leading tool in Emmy award winning productions such as the TV series “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” and the documentary “Inside the Living Body”. The VoluMedic render- technology can be licensed separately and has been successfully used in FDA approved medical imaging software. In addition to this, VoluMedic OG offers custom graphics software development services in fields related to computer graphics.
