I. BACKGROUND Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association (VYEA) launched the first Private Sector Forum in Vietnam on 3rd June 2016 the position papers consolidated from the works of 10 working groups are tabled for dialogs in the Plenary Conference of more than 700 participants. II. PURPOSE “How to get the private sector aware of and take active part in improving business environment by way of policy dialog with the Government?” has been a much debate topic. For the first time in Vietnam, the interest of the private sector was addressed at a dedicated Forum and was conducted with representatives of 7 industries and 3 economic fields. These representatives dialogued with the Government and "partners of private enterprises", updated main challenges that businesses were facing, and made recommendations for solutions to related parties. Main purposes - Private enterprises exchange ideas, discuss and agree on challenges, opportunities and solutions. - Shows the sense of responsibility of the private sector face-to-face with the country economic development, helps the Government and "partners" to understand the state of private economic environment with a view of further supporting enterprises. - Create a network between leading entities, government agencies, international partners and multilateral agencies to serve its cause. III. TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION 10 working sessions have been organized to discuss 10 topics towards a common theme: “Challenges, solutions, and competitive advantages for private enterprises in Vietnam”. 7 industries and 3 fields: - Digital Economy. - Agriculture. - Education & Vocational training. - Logistics & Distribution. - Capital market & Fund raising. - Industry & Auxiliary industry. - Clean energy & Energy saving. - Integration & Globalization. - Start-up & Innovation. - Industrial clusters.
