About VRP4Youth: Innovative Integration Between VR and RP for Youth-Erasmus+
According to the end of 2021 data, the EU's youth unemployment rate is 14.7% on average. The countries where the project is targeted to be implemented are among the top 10 countries with the highest youth unemployment in Europe, and the average youth unemployment is around 22%. In these figures, the rate of unskilled labor force is high. The main priority of the project is “increasing quality, innovation and recognition of youth work”. The project will increase the employability of youth in European communities with the main priority of “increasing quality, innovation and recognition of youth work”. The project, which aims to train young employers who can use the iconic applications of Industry 4.0 such as virtual reality (VR) and rapid prototyping (RP), in line with EU Youth Strategy for 2019-2027. The project's main objective is to provide VR and RP skills to unemployed youth who cannot acquire competencies related to new generation technologies in formal education processes, and to gain the ability to use these two technologies in an integrated way in design and production processes. In this respect, the project directly addresses the main priority of the project, “increasing quality, innovation and recognition of youth work”. Increasing the learning motivation of unemployed youth with the vision of intercultural learning approach is one of the important goals of the project. The benefit that will emerge from the spread of VR and RP will encourage other initiatives to develop the skills of unemployed youth in Turkey and Europe. Under this project, workshops and training seminars will be organized to achieve project goals. The duration of project is 24 months and Turkish partners are Gazi University and Association of Academicians Union. Eurepean Partners are KTH Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden), GoDESK S.R.L. (Italy) and Instituto Politecnico Do Porto (Portugal).
