Vukisha Empowerment Programme (VEP) is a non-governmental organization in Kenya, registered in 2018. VEP aims to alleviate poverty, promote peace, ensure access to clean energy, improve agricultural production, and mitigate disasters. Vision Our purpose is to drive social and economic transformation across Africa by fostering impactful and sustainable initiatives aimed at enhancing livelihoods within marginalized communities. Mission we are committed to empower communities through comprehensive capacity building, active community engagement, sustainable economic empowerment, and targeted agriculture support, fostering self-sufficiency and resilience for a prosperous future for the people of Africa. Values of Excellence Vukisha Empowerment Programme (VEP) upholds the following values: Transparency: VEP ensures integrity in its relations with both internal and external stakeholders, embedding accountability in all its affairs. Empathy: VEP identifies the most pressing needs of our target population and compassionately addresses them through field research. Reliability: VEP is committed to consistently achieving its mission, vision, and objectives in every project undertaken. Thematic Areas We seek to accomplish our objectives through a 3-phased thematic approach: Elimika Program: Elimika is a Swahili word meaning "Get Educated." We empower our target population with up-to-date life skills and information from experts in various areas of interest. Tenda Initiative: Tenda is a Swahili word meaning "Act." We seek to implement well-researched projects and actively involve the target population in making actual changes in their lives. Nawiri Program: Nawiri is a Swahili word meaning "Prosper." This represents the core goal of the Vukisha Empowerment Programme to transform lives. By eradicating development-restraining problems through sustainable solutions, we aim to transform the target population and, consequently, the society at large.
