VULKAN Technologies Private Limited (VULKAN INDIA), is the Indian subsidiary of the globally operating VULKAN group, established in August 2001. The operations which started from a small residential apartment, gradually expanded to a full-fledged manufacturing facility spread over two plants in vicinity of Pune, Maharashtra. VULKAN INDIA represents all three business divisions of the group in the Indian market: VULKAN Couplings, VULKAN Drive Tech and VULKAN Lokring. In addition, VULKAN INDIA provides three major manufacturing‎ technologies and competencies STEEL FOUNDRY: equipped with high-power medium-frequency induction crucible furnaces; which can cast ferrous castings in the form of the most diverse Steel including Stainless Steel, Duplex steel, and S.G. Iron castings, using sand castings method which provides maximum possible casting precision and comply with the most stringent tolerances. The centrifugal casting process is also launched for the manufacture of symmetric rotary components. ALUMINIUM FOUNDRY: is the first one in India that has been certified by Lloyd’s Register of Shipping where parts are manufactured using the gravity die casting and sand-casting method with variety of casting alloys. Elaborate and extensive test methods are employed to test the mechanical properties of the material to ensure the quality of the cast products. RUBBER UNIT: Operating on modern transfer moulding technology, the Vulcanisation facility produces rubber elements for couplings with diverse elastomers such as silicon and natural rubber. It also hosts production of rubber Hoses for catering requirements of Automobile & Non automobile customers. VULKAN INDIA also owns modern, machine shop, with a convoy of machines capable of performing precision operations.
