VUP, a.s. is a renowned petrochemical institute located in Slovakia, specializing in the research and production of chemical specialties. With over 60 years of experience in research and development (R&D) and over 900 international patents, VUP is internationally recognized for its expertise in the field. In addition to conducting its own R&D, VUP also collaborates with other chemical producers and research companies to develop and optimize their technologies for the production of chemical specialties. The company produces more than 100 top-end chemical specialties, including Tempo, Temp, TEMPO - glycerol ketal, Trolox, and others. Our focus includes the continuous R&D of raw materials for the production of polyurethane dispersions (PUD), specifically dimethylpropanoic acid (DiMPAc), hydroxypivalic acid (HPVA), and the recently developed dimethylolbutanoic acid (DiMBAc). This technology allows us to cover 30% of the DiMPAc market in Europe.
