Practice, Patience, Persistence ...... Perfection Since 1981 - the German born and trained designer/goldsmith has been quietly making a name for himself in the ‘Fine Jewelry World’. In his beautiful showroom/studio above Union-Square in San Francisco many internationally recognized and award winning pieces were fabricated and set. Walter Dickhaut apprenticed in his native Düsseldorf - Germany between 76-80, after graduating from college - at a time when ‘Friedrich Becker’ ‘Herman Jünger’ and ‘Otto Künzli’ revolutionized the industry. These great designers created an atmosphere of competition, knowledge and refinement, in which their apprentices, ‘Dickhaut’ among them, worked and learned. Seeking to refine his early training, he developed the ability to create ‘rare’, ‘one of a kind’ jewelry, by demonstrating consummate control and understanding the physical properties of Platinum & Gold, balancing elegant ‘simplicity’ with sophisticated ‘bi-metal techniques’ achieving modern ‘opulence’ sealed in ‘perfection’.
