About Circular Textile Working Group (CTWG) WA
The WA Circular Textile Working Group has been established to raise awareness, build networks and advance local action designed to significantly reduce clothing textile waste and turn it into a resource. Membership includes representation from stakeholder groups including manufacturers, retailers, designers, government, academia, charitable organisations and education. The principal responsibilities of the Working Group is to develop action strategies to, amongst other things, support the development of guidelines to drive sustainable textile consumption and grow local markets for reuse, upcycling and recycling of textiles, support extended producer responsibility initiatives, and consider advocacy for policy mechanisms that drive expansion of the local fashion industry.
