Founded in May 2016 by visionary professionals renowned for their expertise in international education, legal consulting, and public welfare, the Western Academy of Beijing Institute of Education (WAB-Ed) is a non-profit, internationally oriented educational research institution registered with the Beijing Civil Affairs Bureau and headquartered in Chaoyang District, Beijing. In December 2021, WAB-Ed became the registered owner-operator of the Western Academy of Beijing, reinforcing its commitment to rigorous, science-driven academic standards while advancing global educational innovation and fostering cross-cultural collaboration. Our work bridges international best practices with China’s educational heritage, focusing on innovative research, educational consulting, institutional training, and community-driven public good initiatives. Governed by an elected Board of Directors and guided by principles of transparency, WAB-Ed is led by a team of seasoned experts in education and management, including distinguished figures such as Professor CHEN Lin, a pioneer in China’s National English Curriculum Standards and former professor at Beijing Foreign Studies University. Through global partnerships, international forums, and an Academic Advisory Committee, we address critical educational challenges, produce transformative research, and amplify the social impact of education. By integrating global perspectives with local insights, WAB-Ed continues to strengthen its role as a bridge for academic exchange while advancing China’s educational development.
