Hassan Wadi had his first public speaking experience when he was required to deliver a professional presentation at work. He did his best to prepare, but because of inexperience, his performance was less than engaging. This failure became a personal challenge and through personal growth he discovered his passion for this valuable skill set. He joined Toastmasters (an International public speaking organization) and after years of practice, he won multiple public speaking contests. He went on to become the President of the Mississauga Toastmasters club, opened his own speaking academy and became the Spokesperson for Canada’s oldest Muslim charity Human Concern International. Hassan shares his story in the video below at Canada’s largest Inspirational Speaking competition Speaker Slam, where he placed 2nd amongst some of the top speakers in Canada.
