Women & Girls Education (WAGE) International

Despite many struggles and milestones of success, worldwide, one billion women continue to face violence, with disparate numbers in the underserved areas. Education is key to validating the power that communities, and particularly girls and women, already possess. Women and Girls’ Education (WAGE) International's hope is that by inspiring girls and boys and women and men to embrace who they are and to instill in them the confidence they deserve, we can help overcome violence. WAGE is a New Jersey-based group that works with local and global organizations through community networking to raise awareness, support, and develop educational resources toward this cause. It all started in the cafeteria of a university. We came from quite different backgrounds and present situations, but somehow, it seemed to work. Through conversation, research and consultation with others, we ironed out our mission, created bylaws and filed for 501 (c) 3 status, stumbling and learning along the way. Through perseverance and a passion to help others, WAGE was born. Thankful for all those who helped make this group a reality. The foundation you set in 2013 still keeps us strong.
