We are registered as a Section 8 nonprofit with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, India, and our org is all about forests, indigenous ecology, conservation culture, wildlife, coexistence and sustainability. Waghoba is the indigenous tribal spirit deity of the forest, who manifests as the Tiger or Leopard, and has been guiding indigenous people in India to coexist with the wild and conserve nature for centuries.
Inspired and guided by the spirit of Waghoba, we are a coalition of Indigenous People, botanists, scientists, researchers tree planters, educators, artists, media professionals and a large network of volunteers, based out of Western and Northeast India. We work in the field of environmental conservation, habitat protection, afforestation, regenerative practices, preserving and perpetuating Traditional Ecological Knowledge, empowering indigenous communities and promoting human-nature coexistence.
