Walk For Plastic

Walk for Plastic is an environmental organization to protect the ecosystem & to provide education by fighting climate change through sustainable practices. In simple terms, a person can donate a plastic to educate a child. A beautiful process where nature is protected and education is also provided to the needy. The activity where one or group of people walk to collect littered plastics & send the plastics to upcycle; In return, the collected money is used to educate and uplift the family of the waste management chain and ensure the plastics are not entering the landfill. Through the walk for plastic process, we are estimated to stop 80% of plastic entering landfill by 2030 in Chennai. Out of 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), WFP is influencing 13 SDG directly. The initiative was founded by King Gowtham, an artist at June 1st 2019, Villivakkam (Chennai, Tamilnadu, India)
