Walk it out

Walk it out group is aimed to empower young females and women in Redbridge to gain health and well-being. Our purpose is for young females and women to lead a healthy, safe and happy life in Redbridge, we do this by walking and talking across parks creating a safe environment where women feel acknowledged, heard and valued and are able to speak openly and share their experiences. Our mission is to strengthen the voices of females in Redbridge and nearby neighbourhoods. We envision a community in which females, regardless of race, ethnicity or income level/social status are empowered to reach their fullest potential. We are helping females to reduce anxiety, learn new skills, build confidence and resilience, we hope to inspire females in the local community to feel empowered to build up their confidence to stand up for themselves at home and in public. Our goal is to create a future where females feel empowered and self confident in all aspects of their lives. When a female feels confident, it gives them a sense of importance and a meaningful place in the world giving them a positive attitude, which can lead them to becoming successful in their personal and professional life. We want families to thrive and have equal access and opportunities, we will do this by reminding them of their rights as women by empowering and supporting them in overcoming their challenges. We believe that supporting and guiding young females and women in facing their fears and building their self esteem and conquering themselves will lead to better relationships and better decision making, making women feel stronger and more in control. Walk it out is raising awareness for young females and women in the borough, having a positive impact in women’s lives and most importantly tackling crime in the borough.
