WAO is an architecture and product design practice based in Toronto, led by Harry Wei.
Harry received his Master of Architecture degree from Princeton University and his Bachelors degree from the University of Waterloo. From 2014 to 2022, Harry was a Senior Architect at the Prizker Prize winning office Herzog & de Meuron in Basel Switzerland; he held lead roles on cultural and residential projects, including The Badaevskiy Brewery Redevelopment, The Grand Canal Museum and The National Library of Israel. Prior to that, Harry had worked with internationally acclaimed offices including BIG in Copenhagen, MAD in Beijing, NL Architects in Amsterdam. In addition to practice, Harry is currently a lecturer at the University of Toronto and the University of Waterloo School of Architecture.
WAO was recognized with a 2014 Canadian Architect Award of Merit for their project Annex House.
