WAPCOS Limited is a Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Water Resources, providing services in Water, Power and Infrastructure Development and Management. WAPCOS was established in year 1969 as an export window of the Government of India with a view to sharing the vast Indian expertise and experience with the other developing nations through use of appropriate technology and judicious blend of sophisticated advancements with traditional practices to suit the given environs and for effective transfer of technology. WAPCOS has registered impressive growth achieving the status as one of the premier international consultants in these sectors. WAPCOS is one of the profit making Public Sector Companies since inception and has been accorded a MINI RATNA status by the Government of India. WAPCOS has been rated as “Excellent” by the Department of Public Enterprises during the last seventeen years and has been awarded Prime Minister’s “Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Award for Excellence in Performance”. The Department of Public Enterprises, Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, Govt. of India has selected WAPCOS amongst the top Central Public Enterprises for this award.
