Pilgrims, devotees, choir. Call us what you may. Wari is an art initiative inspired by Maharashtra’s Warkaris that congregates with artists, patrons and art itself. Like the Warkari’s deities are Vitthal and Rakhumai, ours is art. We’re breaking open the white cube, reimagining spaces where art can be shared and experienced in fresh, meaningful ways. Wari does this with programming and a global team to connect emerging artists with iconic counterparts, patrons with pride-worthy art pieces, and the art world with India’s stalwarts.
