Avinya

Avinya is an initiative of Wynberg-Allen students which aims to Up-cycle and recycle paper. Every year we collect around 20 tons of paper from neighbouring schools. We sort them into recyclable and up-cyclable paper. After they have been sorted, up-cyclable paper is transported to a facility of Mr. Anand Prakash where he creates various products out of them and recyclable paper is transported to a factory in Dehradun which gives us recycled products in exchange of paper. The products that are made out of this paper are sold at various fairs and exhibitions and all the proceeds from these fund other Wynberg-Allen Initiatives like Behtar Tomorrow and the Eco Society
