I’m Ryan Wilkes. I’m a licensed clinical psychologist located in Salt Lake City, Utah.
I’m an experienced psychologist who provides evidence-based psychotherapy for emerging adults, adults, and older adults. While I have substantial experience treating a variety of people presenting with a wide range of mental health concerns, I specialize in trauma/PTSD; EMDR; anxiety; depression; mindfulness; therapy for emerging adults (18-30 year-olds); and military service members, veterans, and their families.
As a licensed psychologist in Utah and Florida, appointments are available to residents of both states. Appointments are available for Utah residents either in-person or via telepsychology (online therapy). Appointments are available for Florida residents via telepsychology (online therapy).
I’m committed to evidence-based practice. This means I integrate the best available research and my clinical expertise to deliver effective, gold-standard treatments for a variety of mental health concerns.
Humans learn best by doing and so therapy with me tends to be practical and action oriented. Therapy is listening and understanding. Therapy is also where the rubber hits the road because real change happens when we learn new skills and experiment with new behavior and ways of doing things. When provided with a safe, accepting space, all of us are able to change and grow and move more consistently toward those things in our lives that truly matter.
