Toastmasters International is a non-profit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills through experiential learning in a fun and very supportive environment.
Some of the many skills you will learn are impromptu speaking, speech development and presentation, time management, listening skills, managing professional meetings, giving and receiving supportive feedback, and many more essential skills. The program is based on interactive participation with everyone working and learning together is a safe supportive environment.
Toastmasters’ educational program, Pathways, lets you choose your education path to focus on the areas of strength you want to enhance. The Pathways education programs include: Dynamic Leadership, Effective Coaching, Innovating Planning, Leadership Development, Motivational Strategies, Persuasive Influence, Presentation Mastery, Strategic Relationships, Team Collaboration, Visionary Communication, and Engaging Humour.
Wascana Toastmasters is the longest serving Toastmasters club in Alberta and Saskatchewan and have been building leaders since 1948! Wascana has a broad diversity of members from all walks of life. There are long serving members who are mentors in the program and will guide you on your journey of self-development.
Wascana Toastmasters meet every Tuesday night from 7:00-8:30 pm. We have hybrid meetings where some people come in person to Knox Met United Church in downtown Regina, while others join the meeting on Zoom from the comfort of their home or office.
