Founded in 1967, the Washington Conservation Guild (WCG) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and conservation of material culture. Our educational association promotes the exchange of ideas and knowledge through tours, lectures, workshops, and symposia.
We provide a public forum that serves conservators, educators, scientists, archivists, collections professionals, art historians, students, and other allied professionals and conservation enthusiasts in the Washington DC, Maryland, and northern Virginia region.
The Guild offers a forum for sharing conservation information and interacting with colleagues through a program of monthly lecture meetings (September through May), specialist committee meetings, a membership directory, outreach activities, informal gatherings, emerging professional activities, and occasional workshops and webinars.
