About AUDA-NEPAD Networks of Water Centres of Excellence
Mandated by the African Ministers Council on Water (AMCOW) and Ministers Council on Science and Technology (AMCOST) in 2005, the AUDA-NEPAD Networks of Centres of Excellence (Water CoEs) are networks of Higher Education- and Research institutions that conduct high-end scientific research on water and related sectors, in order to provide policy guidelines to governments. The Regional secretariat of the various networks are hosted as follows: Southern Africa (SANWATCE): Stellenbosch University, South Africa Western Africa (WANWATCE): Universite Cheikh Anta Diop, Senegal Central/East Africa (CEANWATCE): University of Khartoum, Sudan.
