Mandated by the African Ministers Council on Water (AMCOW) and Ministers Council on Science and Technology (AMCOST) in 2005, the AUDA-NEPAD Networks of Centres of Excellence (Water CoEs) are networks of Higher Education- and Research institutions that conduct high-end scientific research on water and related sectors, in order to provide policy guidelines to governments.
