The Water Engineering Laboratory (WEL) was established in June 1997 as a facility for educational, research and consulting purposes, in the field of Hydraulics and Water Systems. It extends over 870 m2 inside and about 160 m2 outside. In 2007 it was enrolled in the research laboratory Register by the MIUR – Ministry for Education, University and Research. The WEL has recently been renovated and enhanced thanks to fundings within the program “Dipartimenti di Eccellenza 2018-2022”. Its new arrangement has been inaugurated during the ceremony which was held on 21 June 2021.
