The Global Network of Water Museums is a non-profit organisation endorsed by UNESCO-IHP and committed to promoting the work of water museums and disseminating the fundamental value of water heritage at global level.
The mission of WAMU-NET is to provide an impetus to connecting past and present water uses, heritage and management practices with future needs. The Global Network is indeed active to foster a new sense of civilisation with the goal of reconnecting humanity to the intangible heritage of water, through social, cultural, artistic and spiritual dimensions.
