Our unique team including various professors in fields such as aerospace, mechanical, materials science, electrical, control engineering from Delft University of Technology (TU Delft, NL), Erasmus University (NL), and University of Southern Denmark (DK) —is developing a new wind-turbine drivetrain topology: the Variable Electromagnetic Drivetrain (VED).
The technology enables the development of the next-generation of high capacity factor wind turbines, especially realising a significant improvement in the efficiency of small/medium-scale distributed wind turbines (turbines operating in low altitude, low wind speed and turbulent conditions).
Currently the project R&D is conducted in stealth-mode and the results remains unpublished awaiting a larger publication.
