WAY4WARD is an Italian innovative startup, founded in 2020, specializing in AI-driven solutions for the New Space economy. Combining the expertise of a large company with the agility of a lean, user-centered organization, we leverage over 30 years of experience in Space technologies to develop cutting-edge products and integrated solutions in GNSS, Earth Observation and AI applications.
Our key focus areas include Positioning, Navigation & Time (PNT), where we develop robust and secure GNSS solutions such as ASPIS, our patented AI-based GNSS Spoofing Detection system that ensures accurate and trustable positioning even under cyber threats. We also specialize in multi-sensor data fusion, integrating GNSS, IMU, magnetometers, UWB, 5G and cameras, and in AI-powered adaptive algorithms for autonomous navigation.
In the Earth Observation domain, we apply optical, SAR, InSAR, PSInSAR, multi-spectral and hyper-spectral technologies across sectors like maritime, agriculture, disaster monitoring, and environmental protection.
Through integrated applications, we combine EO, GNSS and SatCom technologies to develop custom solutions for assets protection (e.g. leisure vessels and earth moving machines anti-theft solutions), enhanced agriculture (e.g. EO-UAV combined data for AR support in on field operations), disaster monitoring (e.g. floods, landslides, avalanches, earthquakes), urban planning (e.g. Urban Heat Island monitoring, Seismic risk maps estimation & forecasting) and infrastructure management (e.g. Building Efficiency analysis).
Our NeXus Lab, based in Lucca (Italy), acts as a bridge from innovation to application. It is equipped with a geodetic reference station with RTK-base capability and AI development servers, supporting advanced research in space technologies.
