Two-Time World Champion Amir Khan, is the President of the newly formed World Boxing Council Middle East (WBCME). This is the first ever structured boxing governing body in the region with a total of 17 affiliate countries. The WBCME was officially launched in September 2020. This will encompass flexible as well as tailored development projects in the individual affiliated countries which include UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Pakistan, Egypt, Cyprus, Iraq, Kuwait, Jordan, Egypt, Turkey, Palestine, Oman, Libya, Lebanon, and Yemen.
