WBOR (91.1 FM) is a public radio station licensed to Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine. The station is housed in the basement of the Dudley Coe Health Center on the Bowdoin College campus, and its 300-watt signal is broadcast from the top of the Coles Tower. WBOR is heard throughout the Mid-Coast area of Maine. WBOR also streams online and can be heard on wbor.org.
WBOR strives to be an outlet for Bowdoin students, staff, and Brunswick community members to express themselves in a welcoming community. In doing so, WBOR aspires to create quality, independent programming that represents the diversity of the Bowdoin and mid-coast community while providing a unique student-run alternative to standard commercial radio.
Programming consists of an eclectic mix of indie rock, classical, electronic music, blues, jazz, metal, folk, world music, talk, news, sports, politics, and just about anything else you can think of. WBOR also occasionally publishes a music, arts, and literature magazine, the WBOR Zine.
