Thelma Gibson, devoted community service advocate and leader, founded the Women's Chamber in 1984. In 1999, the Women's Chamber established the "Thelma Gibson Awards of Excellence" to honor her. Each year, the Chamber honors both an individual and a corporation that have excelled in promoting leadership, excellence, and business development among corporate and professional women.
