NIDIT | Network for Impactful Digital International Teaching Skills

NIDIT (Network for Impactful Digital International Teaching Skills) is a joint project of Justus Liebig University Giessen (lead partner), Philipps University Marburg and Mittelhessen University of Applied Sciences. The aim of the project is to sustainably strengthen teaching skills in a digital and international context. The project will be funded by the Foundation for Innovation in Higher Education from 2021 to the end of 2025. The coronavirus pandemic has shifted almost all university teaching into the digital sphere. Challenges and quality gaps often arose as a result of the short-term changes. NIDIT is using this experience to find out what constitutes ‘good digital teaching’ and how teachers can be better prepared for the digital future, both nationally and internationally. Building on the Higher Education Didatics Network of Central Hesse (HDM), NIDIT is creating an extended competence network that pools expertise in digital and international teaching skills. NIDIT ensures teaching quality and establishes digital teaching in an international context in the long term.
