WePower: Who Are We ? Established in 2000, WePower is a non-profit, non-partisan Israeli NGO that helps women reach top positions in government, politics and business. WePower helps women to advance to top level decision-making and elected positions, thus propelling social change and leading to a more equal and just civil society. As more women advance in the political and public arenas, they bring a more inclusive and compassionate approach and are vital in addressing the challenges faced by women and girls in Israel and throughout the world. In May 2017, WePower was granted Consultative Status by the United Nations on the topic of women’s leadership. Our Vision Equal Representation in Decision-Making Positions WePower strives to promote women’s leadership and gender mainstreaming within all stratums of Israel society, increase awareness to gender inequality, and bring about social change that will advance a more equal civic society. When talented women are in government and in public positions of power, they promote a more balanced decision-making process and a more gender-balanced allocation of resources that better addresses women’s needs and concerns.
