Wealdown has been around for 25 years. Initially a service company it evolved between 1988 and 1992 into a machine builder. Special purpose machines mainly for the metal cutting industry. Between 1992 and the present day we sought to help manufacturers to solve production problems. Amongst our customers are JCB, Renold power, Musashi, Voestalpine and Mahle to name but a few. With personnel that understood metal cutting and knew what was really needed to achieve a great outcome, with reliability and performance designed in at the outset, the company developed relationships on technology with various European manufacturers of a similar mindset.
With service being important to both our company and our clients, it was always considered that as everyone has problems, we would be judged on how we responded. With further orders from companies we believe this speaks for itself!
With the advent of a new concept in aluminium extrusion machining from one of our suppliers, AKEA of Denmark, we believe we have a concept that can revolutionise the production of components, fast, flexible, reliable production, that is driven by the customer. This machine initially evolved from a special purpose machine, where existing manufacturers of profile machining systems could not offer a system, that was fast enough or flexible enough.
