Cognito was established and registered in 2012, originally as a photography and art enterprise, but has since evolved into a social enterprise that uses creative communication strategies, knowledge management, and technology to amplify the impact of development programmes and enterprises, highlight innovative learnings and use these learnings for improved future programming towards addressing critical development issues and improving the wellbeing of target populations. Our approach employs research and human-centered design thinking to understand our clients, challenge assumptions, redefine problems and create innovative solutions to prototype and test. Co-creation and collaboration is at the core of our work. Cognito’s expertise spans over social marketing, social change, visual communication, information design, information technology, social media and communication for development. We are driven, innovative and we have experience working with a variety of stakeholders within and outside Nigeria.
