Microaggression is a term used for brief and commonplace daily verbal, behavioral or environmental slights, whether intentional or unintentional, that communicate hostile, derogatory, or negative attitudes toward stigmatized or culturally marginalized groups. "Wear Microaggressions" is a clothing brand that fits everyone's social justice movement. It is the ultimate platform where activism and fashion meets with microaggressions crossed out in style on comfortable lightweight hoodies, sweatshirts and more. After the murder of George Floyd, the community demanded change and this product is the change but one that is inclusive to everyone. Our hoodies are an everyday -classic, comfortable, gender neutral, sweatshirt/hoodie to uniquely understand and combat microaggressions. As the Black Lives Matter Movement was strong in pushing for police reform and minimizing inequities, we understood that the movement was powerful but did not relate to everyone in the world. Wear Microaggressions was established on April 17, 2021 in hoping to raise the voices of all marginalized communities while BLM leads the way. The evolution of activism and fashion! Wear Microaggressions has a unique opportunity to increase awareness and activism though the brand and sales. The concept of wearing microaggressions crossed allows for the beginning of the uncomfortable conversation and the platform to educate.
