A.I.S.F. Associazione Italiana per lo Studio del Fegato

AISF, the Italian Association for the Study of the Liver, is a non-profit scientific association founded in 1970 and recognized, in May 1998, by an Italian Government act. It is the only representative Italian national Association for the study of the liver. With more than 1800 members, hepatologists from different areas of specialization (gastroenterology, internal medicine, liver transplantation, infectious diseases, immunology, surgery), AISF promotes the progress of scientific research and medical practice in the field of Hepatology through initiatives dedicated to training activities and exchange of scientific knowledge. AISF is committed to strengthen the links between Italian researchers and groups of European hepatologists and is the reference point of similar Associations and Institutions at both national and international level. To promote their own activities at its best, AISF is funding the research activities of young hepatologists with scholarships and awards.
