About WebSight Observatory

The WebSight Observatory of the Department of Economics, Management and Statistics of the University of Milano-Bicocca was founded in 2024 thanks to the prestigious funding program Departments of Excellence 2023-2027 of the Italian Ministry of University and Research. WebSight adopts an innovative approach based on monitoring the activity of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises through unconventional data, such as company websites, integrated with offline information. Its researchers, experts in advanced economic and statistical models, are able to explore and interpret complex data with precision and expertise. The synergy with the Datalab at UniMiB allows the Observatory to manage web data efficiently. WebSight intends to build a hub of skills and best practices that can spread a new point of view on business economic analysis.
