THE WECARECARD ORIGINS:
During her nineteen years as an NICU nurse, Jessica Weiss, founder of the WeCareCard, saw the financial burden of the medical bills, travel expenses, income loss, etc. from long hospital stays and surgeries. Then in 2009, Jessica’s family was struck with a personal tragedy that placed her in the shoes her patients; this is where she learned first hand the challenges of tragic medical events. Empowered with her experiences she developed the WeCareCard, an online fundraising platform that brings people together to raise money for numerous life-changing causes.
