Weekender Amsterdam

“The Friday through Sunday adventures of an artist.” Weekender is an exhibition platform based in Amsterdam. We aim to promote the work of up and coming talented artists by offering them an exhibition with full promotional support, including flyer videos, artwork and online promotion. In this context we mainly focus on photography, video/film and art installations. We are currently operating in Amsterdam and collaborating with different galleries and exhibition spaces throughout the city. We’re a mobile initiative with a prefab installation, which we can pop up at any location. This includes our Bookshop, where you can find books and magazines from independent art publishers. For now our focus is set on bridging the gap between the up and coming artist and the audience on a lower scale. But our future goal is to create an art community, as well as a wider and more international reach through the website and exhibitions.
