WeEmpowerHer is a women empowerment organization for girls and women and is located in Nakivale refugee settlement in Uganda. WEH was founded by Chanceline Amini Gabriella in 2019. Menstruation and reproductive health are still taboo topics in big parts of African societies. Underage pregnancies and sexual abuse are common. WEH is aiming to create a safe space for girls and women to discuss issues that affect their health and wellbeing and learn how to manage their cycle and period.
