Weerts Energy owns Weerts Group’s energy strategy and is responsible for its implementation throughout the entire Group portfolio.
At the end of 2022, the decision was taken to consolidate all past initiatives and ongoing energy investments into a separate division, of which the initial focus will be:
- The rollout of an investment program in solar panels across the full logistics real estate portfolio;
- The feasibility study for the investment in on-shore windmills on different logistics sites;
- The feasibility study for various battery investments, both on our logistics sites and as standalone projects (battery parks).
Moreover, the Renewable Energy Division will act as knowledge center on all energy-matters for the whole Group.
Weerts Energy also provides services to third parties, funding and executing the optimal renewable energy strategy on their Real Estate assets.
